Curso de profesor de yoga, Asociación Merkhaba

From January to December 2018, we will carry out our yoga teacher course in four cities, Almería, Córdoba, Jaén and Valencia.

This course helps establish a firm foundation of internal discipline in the practice of Yoga.

In this course, endorsed by the International Yoga Federation and Yoga Alliance Europe, students will develop the skills to teach yoga, as well as improve their personal practice. A widely accepted international standard for yoga teacher training programs has been established, which includes 200 hours through five teaching areas:

Yoga techniques
Philosophy / ethics
Teaching methodology
Anatomy and Physiology
The practical teaching.
Yoga techniques include: Asanas, Pranayamas, Bandhas, Kriyas, Mantras, Mudras and meditation techniques.

Asanas
Students of the yoga teacher course will learn asanas “postures” of Yoga, in their respective levels and variations. The practice includes different adaptations of the positions according to the abilities of the students.

We emphasize the adjustments, the alignment, the techniques, the corrections, the contraindications, the physical and psychic awareness, and the benefits of each position.

Pranayamas
Students for yoga training instructors will learn the main types of breathing techniques or pranayamas.

Bandhas
The practices of the bandhas, control points and energy blockage (prana), will be integrated into the practice of asanas, especially in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

Kriyas
The students will learn the theoretical information and, in some cases practical, the cleaning Kriyas. We will meet the “six shatkriyas, methods of cleansing the body”: Dhauti, Basti, Neti, Nauli, Tratak and Kapalbhati.

Mantras
Students will learn to sing and present the Yoga mantras at the beginning and end of yoga classes. We will also teach how to use the mantra to purify and balance.

Mudras
It is known by the name of Mudra to the position that is made with the fingers of the hands, to open or close circuits of energy, as required in a determined work of meditation. They also have other uses.

Meditation
Students will learn different traditional meditation techniques. We will practice them throughout the year to feel its benefits. The courses consist of 10 weekend seminars and a training retreat of 3-4 days, in an enclave of nature. The course begins in January and ends in December.
